PROLOGUE ======== [???]: “I’ve failed again…” . . . [???]: “Dammit….” . . . The dust had just settled, the battle over. The moon was the only thing casting light down to show the destruction left over. A giant monster had attacked a park in the city in the dead of night. Thankfully, not many people were there. But there were still casualties. [???]: “No no no….” The 3 magical girls, Magia Spider, Magia Asagao, and Magia Tsubaki, had defeated the threat. But, their apprentices, who they had been training to be their successors…. [???]: “my love…I’m so sorry…” Magia Spider shuttered in disgust. [Magia Spider]: “You. You are the one I feel the least bad for.” Magia Asagao looked up, tears pouring out of her. She had a fire in her eyes, but didn’t say anything. [???]: “What….what do we do…?” Magia Tsubaki looked at the other two. [Magia Spider]: “Restart….what else can we do? We can’t just leave without having someone to replace us.” [Magia Tsubaki]: “How t-terrible….” They stood for a moment in silence. It wasn’t their first time losing apprentices, but all 3 at once had not happened before. This was their worst loss yet. [Magia Spider]: “Let’s get their bodies to the ocean…” The team slowly gathered their strength and made their way to the ocean, carrying them to the beach. The moon shimmered a beautiful light across the ocean. The dazzling sight only made Magia Spider’s gut hurt. [Magia Spider]: “They…they deserved to see these sites…” They let the bodies drift into the ocean, where they’d be eaten, and forgotten. [Magia Tsubaki]: “I…there’s no way I can do this anymore…I don’t wanna fight anymore but I can’t bring myself to lose another apprentice….” [Magia Spider]: “Then don’t. Do better with the next one…as much as I feel bad about this, I’m still not gonna just give up on being free from the burden of being a magical girl.” Magia Spider turned to the other two girls. [Magia Spider]: “I will be free from this curse.” [Magia Asagao]: “Yeah…ugh! If we need to find new apprentices we’ll have to do it ourselves…that rabbit won’t be coming back for a while.” Magia Spider glared at Asagao, who now appeared more concerned about herself than her dead apprentice. She closed her eyes and breathed in. [Magia Spider]: “That rabbit is one of the most unhelpful familiars in the world…” Their familiar was never around. Only for a short time once a year would he appear to check in. Supposedly he was busy managing magical girls all around the world. [Magia Asagao]: “Well, on second thought, It can’t be too hard right? Nearly any girl would take the offer to get super powers and save the world.” [Magia Spider]: “Well you can’t just give that power to anyone, if they turn out to not be the most morally correct…” Magia Spider once more glared at Magia Asagao. [Magia Spider]: “Then they may turn out to be more of a problem than a solution.” [Magia Asagao]: “Don’t act like you’re morally superior!” Magia Tsubaki got closer to the two. [Magia Tsubaki]: “Guys please don’t fight…” Magia Spider looked at Magia Tsubaki. She looked back to Magia Asagao. Then she sighed. [Magia Spider]: “Whatever, let’s just go find some new apprentices so we can just end this.” [END OF PROLOGUE]
